Premiere Academy's inaugural cooking fair was a feast for the senses. The smells of freshly baked cake, simmering rice, and grilled chicken wafted through the air, and the sight of students cooking diligently was a delight.
The fair featured a wide variety of snacks and some dishes ranging from rice, shawarma, sausage roll, hibiscus drink, etc. Our students had been working on the dishes for weeks, and they were all eager to showcase their skills.
Parents at the event were impressed with their children's culinary skills because cooking is an important life skill. They appreciated the opportunity to interact with their children in a fun and relaxed setting.
In addition to the food, the fair also featured several educational activities. There were demonstrations on how to make healthy snacks, how to read food labels and how to plan a budget-friendly meal.
The cooking fair was a great success, and it was a great way for Premiere Academy to show her commitment to developing total child. The students learned valuable culinary skills, they also had a chance to spend time with their parents and make memories that will last a lifetime.
The Importance of Culinary Skills
Cooking is a valuable skill for children to learn. It teaches them about nutrition, food safety, and budgeting. It also helps them develop their creativity and problem-solving skills.
In a world where processed foods are increasingly popular, it is more important than ever for children to learn how to cook healthy meals. Cooking at home gives children control over the ingredients in their food, which can help them make healthier choices. Cooking is also a great way for children to express their creativity. They can experiment with different flavours and ingredients.
Finally, cooking is a great way for children to learn about budgeting. They can learn how to plan meals, shop ingredients, and prepare food on a budget.
Premiere Academy is Developing a Total Child
Premiere Academy is committed to developing a total child. We believe that children should not only be academically prepared, but they should also be well-rounded individuals who are prepared for life. That is why we offer a variety of programmes and activities that help students develop their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual skills. The cooking fair is just one example of how we are working to develop total children. We believe that cooking is a valuable skill that can help children in many ways. We are proud of our students, and we are excited to see what they will accomplish in the future.
It is not out of place to acknowledge our recent star, Hilda Baci, the Nigerian Chef who broke the World Guinness Book of Records for the “Longest Cooking Marathon by an Individual.” Her determination to dare and conquer what others consider impossible is an inspiration to all our students.
