On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, we came together as a united community, driven by a common purpose to raise awareness and fight against the detrimental effects of drugs abuse and substance.
The invaluable insights shared by our esteemed Guest Speakers, who are experts in the field, provided our students a comprehensive understanding of the subject. We were honoured to host two distinguished guest speakers: Mr. Nduka Augustine, *Superintendent of Narcotics at the NDLEA, FCT Command,* and Professor Chinonye Madugbunam, a renowned *Professor of Pharmacology* . Their presence added immense value to the event, as they shared their extensive knowledge and experiences on how to combat drug abuse.
Mr. Nduka Augustine, with his expertise in the field of narcotics, emphasized the importance of breaking the chains of addiction and the crucial role that education and awareness play in preventing substance abuse. His insights inspired our students to continuously advocate for a drug-free society, encouraging them to support and guide those who may be struggling with addiction.
Professor Chinonye Madugbunam, a highly respected Professor of Pharmacology, provided valuable information on the science behind addiction. With her expertise, she shared the latest research findings and preventive measures that can be taken to combat substance abuse.
